Olly350z
Hey guys and girls! Been a long while since I've done a build thread! I picked up my 350z funnily enough just over a year ago, been meaning to get on here for a while but everyone remembers what it's like to be a noob! Been knocking around cars for a long time, practically live breath and sleep Vpower haha. First money pit was a B18R swapped Honda civic which I spent the best part of 6 years restoring. Sadly and being honest I ran out of talent one night while having a rather vigorous play with an R33... so that was the end of that chapter So this time last year I'd literally just purchased my GT 350z. It came on a sensible 63k with full Nissan service history stamped at every interval. Did think I'd gotten a great deal but as the year has progressed it has appeared to be a bit of a lemon, throwing up all of the normal Z faults that develop with time. Standard first ever fill up picture Then went and rebuilt the Brembos and got new MTEC drilled and grooved disks and padds with HELL braided lines. Again fitting didn't go to plan as we ended up snapping a hard line which meant being trailered down to the shop as it sensed the low fluid and locked the diff But it now stops the planet rotating so worth it The car then spent a week in pieces as it went down the body shop. It had fitted Nismo side skirts, Nismo rear spats and Miens front lip fitted along with reviving the headlights. I do also have a Nismo V3 spoiler but that's yet to go on as I think it'll look silly as it is and with the refreshed headlights and a little photo shoot with Luke My next purchase was a slight impulse buy which I do regret some days. A Nismo V2 front bumper And the latest addon was getting my windows tinted, by far my favourite mod so far So I think that's me kinda up to date The car was recently used alongside my buddy James 350 for his wedding, which I'm sure some of you will of seen. Apologies for all the pictures but as they say, they are worth a thousand words! Overall I'm happy with the 350 I just wish I could get past some of the niggling faults that are appearing. I have an extensive list of plans which im sure one day will come to plan, just annoying when you want to build another show car but life gets in the way! Future plans include Lowering Wheels facelifting the front end changing the rear bumper getting this V3 spoiler on smooth wings and alot of other bits! Thanks for reading Edited May 30, 2018 by Olly350z New title

nimz
Love it mate, glad you still have the love for her. Out of interest, what makes you regret the Nismo v2 bumper? Too low?
Olly350z
Followed your updates on FB matey, stunning motor and look forward to see it at shows next year Hopefully so man! That's if I don't sell it in this annoying love-hate affair I have with it Love it mate, glad you still have the love for her. Out of interest, what makes you regret the Nismo v2 bumper? Too low? The love wavers when I see the annoying list of small expensive jobs that need doing opposed to modifications Im just not overly keen on how it looks from some angles, there are days where I wish I'd kept the standard bumper with a front lip on? Im very picky about my modifications haha. Height wise its ok I've not caught it yet through careful driving
Justthejedi
Looking great bud, the refreshed headlights look fantastic, I had mine professionally polished by RSV graphics in Dudley and the transformation was stunning. Enough for me NOT to invest in the face-lifted headlights. I just fitted LED 6000K sidebulbs and upgraded the main bulbs to 6000k and the difference was amazing. Having the lights refurbished definitely made a difference to light output but it's still far from brilliant IMO. I'd say my retrofitted lights on my old civic were better lol. I upgraded to from 6K to 8k and its as good as its going to get, so will be getting facelift headlights at some point

Olly350z
So as those who've got me on facebook have seen I've been progressing slowly with all the small details that id like on my Z I managed to get a tan leather interior which has transformed being inside the car for me, absolutely love it I then managed to get a JDM indicator without the foglight, cant say how much the red square used to bug me! I then purchased a set of Hamish's LED rear numberplate clusters. These have made a great difference to the back! Before with just bulbs After with his complete units And then just a couple pictures after a wash. Its currently broken again as we couldnt get the clutch to bleed. Down the shop tomorrow! Lots more to come when funds and Xmas allow!

Olly350z
Can't remember if you have come to one of the south east meets I've arranged or not ?.Where are you based in Sussex?. I havent no pal. Was meant to come to your grasshopper meet but the night before I witnessed a rather horrific car accident that then spiraled further out of control. To cut a long story short I witnessed an audi doing 65mph + in a 30 before rolling several times. Was 3:15am before I got in so wasnt feeling the early start Located in Littlehampton Pal
Olly350z
So nothing too much to report, had a few nigglying issues with the Z which were a PITA to resolve due to timing of Xmas. First up the CSC decided to die while fitting a Hel braided line, so down the garage for that. Big shout out for Chris at Tarmac Sportz for the uprated cylinder and the quick dispatch and a quick picture on the home drive! The car then started to develop feedback through the brake pedal, which Ekona diagnosed correctly as pad transference. So a good cleanup and brake session they seem to be better, cheers dude! Definitely a contaminated disk there And now finally tucked away for the remainder of winter and while I get the parts together for the remap
davey_83
Yeah boi looking sharp!! Glad the issues were sorted without too much bother. Good job you not lowered for that ramp eek PS I've read with the coated discs it's advised after so many miles to remove the pads and clean up the surfaces as they become contaimated. Olly350z
So to update a few things, About three weeks ago I fitted sports cats to the Z All I can say is Holy Rasp Batman. Down low with normal driving it sounds ace, but once you boot it then holy christ. the rasp! Will probably be changed in the future but it'll do for now. Obviously even with spacers its still tripped the EML so they'll have to be switched off in the remap I then purchased a BloX 1/2 inch plenum spacer. We are now remap ready! And then today I made two large purchases. One is a Chargespeed bumper, and the others are 370z side indicators ready for when I get my wings smoothed. Just some teaser pictures for now, will update once they arrive and its gone down the body shop along with the V3/380rs spoiler and all fitted ready for incarnation!
