Stevie-Boy
Having the same colour Z as you and also being someone who loves to spend time cleaning the car, this is my sort of thread! I'm a big fan of the Rays wheels but these new wheels you have got look gorgeous, very classy choice.

davey_83
Another little job done before the Zed meet on Saturday. Definitely needed to have jacked the car up to do it properly, due to the size of the drill - but much better for now. davey_83
Data log as ticked over 83k on the way to the British motor museum national meet, a few pictures from the day. Rained a fair bit on the way there, so a quick detail once parked up was dramas as it started raining whilst in the act. Plus, scooped up best wheels yay One to keep for sure!! davey_83
Treated ol' girl to a new oil cap, not very exciting but something most folks do sooner or later. Genuine Tomei forged piston oil cap to replace my trusty diy painted one. Edited July 31, 2018 by davey_83
davey_83
9:30am booking with BMTR for its annual MOT. Passed with no unexpected advisories, a feeling which never gets old. Many compliments on the new wheels and even the lug nuts here's to another 12 months. Mileage: 83150
davey_83
Between showers gave the engine bay a check over and wipe down ready for JPS this weekend. Few bits done recently: Black wrapped the HD grounding kit as red just didn't go, replace brake vacuum hose with orange silicon one. Fit new carbon fibre engine cover aftet a quick clean up, new Tomei oil cap and refit Ramair cone filter. Forgot how beautiful the VQ35 sounds on WOT with one of these!!! Go to product at the moment, Autobrite Direct Pink Sheen trim dressing. Edited August 18, 2018 by davey_83

HEADPHONES
Looking good. Those rims in that colour really set off the car. I agree with cob1980 on that photo too. It's almost as if they colour coded the building in that pic to colour match your Zed

davey_83
New tattoo been waiting for ages for these to arrive. Years back had the same on my Almera GTi, so it's a nod to Stanley.
D12TEE
Another of the ex Almera gang! i bumped into Flamera Andy a month or so back actually. So clean though, so so clean. Im in awe of the free time you have to clean it in all honesty!
davey_83
Fun little hatches in the day, playful chassis with a strong SR20 lump. I never meet Andy, but his N15 was epic in the days and his GTi-R then after too. Luckily I don't do many miles, so the car keeps clean for long periods. Never gets to the stage whereby a quick wash and dry, wouldn't make it show ready. Terrace houses and late evening washing, with the aid of only a street lamp takes some initial motivation I can tell you. However I know I've done a good job, when the drying towel after being used high and low can simply be hung up to dry for the next time. davey_83
Ages ago bought a polishing pad drill bit kit from Amazon, with the aim to tidy up my headlamps. Common issue is the lamps fade and go yellow, why more than other cars I don't know but a straight forward fix at least. Clean 1500/2000 wet and dry IPA 70% wipe down Menzerna 2500/3500 Much better and an enjoyable task.
davey_83
Decided to try and make that the last time I have to machine polish the headlamps for a good while. My options were to either clear coat or wrap. Having seen other Zeds with wrapped lamps, I thought I'd give it a go. Over the moon with the results and it's really changed to overall look of the car. Increasingly alot of manufactures fit smoked look lamps to thier sportier models, so I'm considering an OEM+ modification............. almost. Wrapped items: Headlights Side Indicators Rear Indicators Door Handles Not terrible for a first attempt, so just have to see how the application holds up. Possibly a few interior part to be done also, without wanting to go over the top.
