Richesio
I think my car has the clicking axle problem, there is a single high pitched click that can be heard when I press the accelerator and occasionally when I break. Is this the clicking axle issue that I see mentioned a lot on here? Also, I bought my car from Nissan and I have the 'Cared4' warranty, is this issue covered under warranty or is this deemed to be wear and tear? I've checked the policy wording and 'axle' isn't mentioned, unless it's known as something else? If it is covered then great, if not, then they'll charge me the diagnostic fee. RobZed
I would expect it to be done under warranty.. I had my prop shaft seal done on warranty (no issue)
Paddy78
Ring them and ask? I think it's unlikely to be covered as you'd effectively be asking them to grease the axle splines, which to me is general wear and tear. It's a fairly easy and cheap DIY job. If you can remove a wheel, then you have pretty much all the mechanical know-how required... I managed it and I'm about as far from a mechanic as you can get. The guide on here is also really good. Brayster
I had the same thing on mine but Nissan notts told me wasn't covered under my cared4 warranty. FYI they charged me an hours labour for doing it..
