SRaven
Hi everyone, I relatively new to the world of Zeds and I'm still looking to purchase one. However I want to turn to the forum and some more experienced owners/technicians before inquiring about one Ideal car I have seen that has perfect styling for me and looks and sounds stunning. However the big but is it has over 100,000 miles on the clock. Is there anything I should look out for before buying, and are there any issues with Zeds that have gone over the magic 100k? I appreciate any help you guys can give me 😊
GMballistic
Topic moved. 100K miles on a car like a Zed wouldn't bother me providing it has been serviced & maintained correctly. Have a look at the buyers guide and the service schedule for some more info. Buyers guide: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/77426-buyers-guide/ 350Z service schedule: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/31110-service-schedule-for-a-350z/
Ekona
100k is no different to 90k or 110k. It's just a number. Buy on condition, not on mileage. I'd rather a well looked after 100k car than a 50k car where the car was a scab.
ZEUS
Mines on 113k (I think) and no issues at all, just do the usual checks and make sure it's been serviced properly.
The Trouser
Mine is 118k from new. Just the usual hiccups: Both window door motors need replacing at approx 80k. W-frame needed replacing.at approx 90k. Standard exhaust replaced at round 80k. Bose CD failed about 40k - didn't bother to fix. Still on original clutch. Keep an eye on those oil levels - low to high is approx 1.4 litres!

Alex350z
As already said, buy on condition not mileage. Mines on 111k and still going strong!
GMballistic
Mine was on 90K plus when I supercharged it. Will definitely be on over 100K miles now with the standard clutch & flywheel still as well, ...if the new owner hasn't changed them that is or stacked it.
blindbandit
Mines got 130k and a bit rough but the engine and drive train are good so the rest is spit polish and eBay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KUGT4
can't recall when the interval on the timing chain? - is there one?
Stutopia
I think they're supposed to be for life but I'm sure I've seen one or two being replaced on here. IIRC the symptom is chain rattling on cold start.

evest
I'm on 143K. No real issues mate. Had one new clutch, both window motors and a rocker cover. Replaced all suspension and diff bushes, but those do wear out with time and miles. Still got excellent compression all round a no excessive oil consumption. Been cleaned lots too!
JetSet
Mine is 118k from new. Yes, I wouldn't have a problem buying a one owner Zed with over 100k on the clock, especially from a forum member. Pete
