garygranite
Its ok , get it from asda when on sale for 3.50 a bottle
Diggerman
Got to be honest i think its shine abilties are quite poor compared to other out there, however i do use it as a cheap lubricant for clay baring and seems to do well for that porpose
Paddy78
It's a mix of chemicals, like all other detailing products, but this one just happens to have a bad name for some reason. If you bottled it under one of the more respected brands and charged 10x for it, then people would probably rate it. This is using it as a QD, rather than a water-less wash, so I don't see the issue? Richf
I've tried it as a drying aid and its ok , not something i would buy again
mctwistuk
I got it cheap in Asda and only reason I got it. The dispenser hose thing is rubbing though.
LRF4N
Cheap and cheerful. I use it as a drying agent and on other cars that haven't been detailed il use it for a quick no effort shine. Won't last long but for the time/cost/effort it's fine
ilogikal1
this one just happens to have a bad name for some reason. That reason being that it's a rubbish product. Granted it's not the worst but this particular mix of chemicals struggles to hold its own in the adequate category. It's currently priced about right for what it is, and it'll do a job (albeit not all that well). Stick another label on it and it won't change at thing about it, whack the price up and it just becomes...well, the AutoBrite Direct range. GizmoGold
When I run out of quick detail sprays I use it for a quick shine at shows and when I'm feeling bad about not cleaning the car for a week
retro_al
Its the same colour and smell as autoglyms fast shine & lube
Alpinaman
Sonax brilliant shine detailer is probably the best QD i have used. Its a little "thick" going on but the shine and beading afterwards is very impressive..
ilogikal1
BSD isn't really a QD though, it's much more of a spray sealant. I don't get along with it all that much, don't get me wrong it's still good at what it does, it's just not a QD in any sense.
HEADPHONES
I remember way back loads of people on DW were buying up Demon Shine from the supermarkets as if it were BLACK MONDAY! I even got carried away and bought 2 x 5 litres from Halfords during a 3 for 2 offer. Still got over 9 & 1/2 litres left
HEADPHONES
Thinking back it definitely leaves some kind of protection down coz I experimented using it as clay lube. I was too slow and it dried out on the roof before I managed to wash it off. Had a sticky residue left that wouldn't budge without clay I will have to dig it out now you guys have reminded me and use it after a wash when I'm not using Gtechniq C2v3. But then I'm wondering if it would be detrimental to me adding further coats of C2v3 a few weeks down the line eg layering C2v3 before complete failure may be better without the "contamination" of the surface with Demon Shine. Alas I often think tooooo deeply upon such trivial things......maybe should get like Nike and "JUST DO IT"
ilogikal1
After "a few weeks", you'll be absolutely fine. There's absolutely no risk of Demon Shine affecting anything after more than a few days at best.
