arif_manji
Hi Guys, My drivers side window has stopped working . I can hear it clicking but no movement. If I open the door and push it down a little, it works and goes down. Once back up again, it stops working. Can I assume I have a faulty motor? Any advise will be appreciated. Apologies if this isn't in the right place. Cheers Edited August 27, 2016 by arif_manji
burgs
Sounds like the motor Contact the traders through here. Not expensive to replace and easy enough to swap out yourself
samsniss350z
Save yourself even more money and replace the motor brushes for under a tenner and have a motor just as good as new. Edited August 31, 2016 by samsniss350z
andy james
Mine did this 3 years ago and I cured it by taking the door card off and tapping the motor which must have been jammed. Long shot but might work.
arif_manji
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Now the weather has gone cooler, the window has been working for the last 3 days fine? Not sure what to do. As they car is still on warranty, I'm sending it into Nissan who will check it out and replace the motor - warranty company have confirmed they will pay out for the repairs. Just not sure what happens now as its working? Cheers
GreenLandy
Just say it's intermittant, hopefully they'll change it. It's probably just worn brushes and the change in temp might have brought them back into contact with the commutator.
