mr_smith126
Cleaning the car the other day i noticed a load of black gunk splattered over one side of the exhaust.. So my stock silicone filled rear bush on the diff has split. Two questions.. What do people recommend from experience, a few people offer these kits, whiteline etc.. And probably more importantly as I have no tools.. Japex will probably be replacing for me, can this be done without removing subframe etc.. Thanks. StevoD
Im guessing japex is the one to answer if it can be done from not removing the subframe but the sub frame is aluminum so putting pressure the wrong way trying to remove or install the bush could twist it although Z1 do a tool so you dont have to remove the subframe which i have bought for changing the diff bushes when i get the time Edited August 18, 2016 by StevoD
davey_83
Ive recently had mine replace by Cougar Store, the diff is drop'd however the ally subframe remains in place. I had the whiteline kit fitted, however wouldn't have a problem with using SuperPro. Ish 3.5hr-4hr labour for the work then of course the price of the kit on top. evilscorp
I did nick my subframe with the sawzall even when I had the subframe out, ended up having a specialist put a small weld to fill the nick as it would play on my mind, this guy doesn't seem to care tho
nissanman312
Did mine the other week I didn't remove the subframe And used Whiteline diff bushing kit
F100Jay
Does gearshift feel improve as they claim? Or have you noticed any improvements at all in the way the car feels or drives?
evest
I fitted Whiteline mate - did not touch the subframe. I did round off the nut inside the bushing though, before dropping the diff! That was interesting...
roadtrip
I had mine replaced by Abbey Motorsport using the Whiteline kit and I'm pretty sure they didn't remove the subframe. I've not noticed any gearshift or other improvements since though.
nissanman312
I definitely didn't remove my subframe
mr_smith126
So had the whiteline kit fitted, diff dropped to replace. I haven't noticed any difference what so ever... just something that was broken is now fixed
cascade88
Did mine myself also on jack stands. Dropped subframe ever so slightly my loosening all mounting bolts to give better access for getting old bush out / new in.
