dkeenan87
Hi, First time post having been a 350Z owner for a few months! I've been throwing up a P1167 error code lately. I have reset it a few times and it stays off for a while before eventually coming back on. Car is running fine but would like to get it sorted. Standard exhaust system fitted. I can see its an O2 sensor and I'm guessing it's probably dodgy. From my research it looks like this code is the rear one but does anyone know which one it is? Also, does anyone know how expensive they are?! Thanks,
Zeezeebaba
Bank 2 rear O2 sensor, best to fit OEM and not aftermarket. No harm in replacing the sensor but a proper diagnostic would be advised. Check connector to make sure it's sound as a failure could be electrical as the wires are exposed to the elements under the car. Worst case scenario maybe a failed Cat. I replaced all of mine and still had the codes coming up so replaced the standard Cats with HFCS. Again after that the rear sensors played up periodically so eventually an Uprev map deleted them completely. I can't remember what I paid without trawling through my receipts but one side was more expensive than the other Edited August 16, 2016 by Zeezeebaba
dkeenan87
Thanks for this. Is Bank 2 the drivers side or the passenger side do you know. Hoping it isn't the cat, flew through an MOT a couple of months ago (and think the light was coming on before then). Will check the wiring this weekend though
Zeezeebaba
Passenger side I believe is bank
samsniss350z
Bank 2 is definitely passenger side.
