Locking wheel nut snapped/sheared clean off

Hope they are steel not ally wheel nuts, the ally ones are prone to shearing off ;)

Dont worry I have gone for plastic ones. They wont rust.

Glass ones are easier to keep clean

Double or single glazed?

Thread revival.... The tops of my locking wheel nuts have disappeared.... On both rears. As per thread, seems the spacer threads are too long for the nut. Front are fine but I'll be changing them for normal nuts.

I've not tried to have a go at anything yet so I came here for some advice first as I'm not sure I have the same issue as @Stuggerz

Only noticed as MOT guy pointed it out. Reckon a tyre place could get these off? Or me hammering a socket on etc?

As you say the spacer studs are too long for the locking wheel nuts, so what's left of the broken nut won't have seated on the wheel as it's bottomed out taking the top off. A socket will get that off, as it won't be tight on the thread.
