GrahameJ
Hi, Do Front lips actually add any down force at the front of the car, or does a splitter need to be added under this to achieve any down force? I was thinking of the Nismo version, as that would match my rear spoiler, and it also looks like the easiest shape to add a splitter later if need be. Any comments appreciated as nearly all the threads I have read were more to do with styling. Having said that the GT version looks like it may be better for getting over straddle type speed bumps. GrahameJ
I got more than 10 bhp on my first mod when I fitted one of your stubbys!
veilside z
Each to their own buddy. They do add to the car though. B)
GrahameJ
Styling aside, do the bottom of the lips fit flush with the bottom of the bumper? I'm still thinking along the lines of lip + splitter.

I'm still thinking along the lines of lip + splitter. It depends on which one tbh The Mines style one we do in pretty much flush, some of the other ones like the PU options will hang a bit lower. The stillen splitter is one of my favourites, that will be about half an inch under the OEM bumper http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/GB/350z_STILLEN_Front_Splitter_OEM_Fascias/350Z-350zsplit.aspx
valy
I have a GT front lip from Tarmac and looks just fine, good fitment as well and yes the obvious 10bhp that came with it
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
PU lips are great when fitted correctly and painted, check this one out http://www.ilovebass.co.uk/article/439/steven-toners-nissan-350z/#photo-10 A lot of people just leave them bare which is not how they are intended to be tbh, Each to their own though
GrahameJ
My original thought was the Nismo lip, but now I'm spoilt for choice! I definitely wanted a PU lip, as a GRP version would not last long with my parking skills and high kerbs at supermarkets. Nismo lips can look good when done properly, take a look at Nino's old 350z: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/90954-sold-azure-matte-blue-350z-for-sale/
GrahameJ
The Nismo name must be worth an extra 2bhp at least, but the GT version has a bit more style. Whichever, I've got the paint to colour code it when fitted.
