veilside z
Convert a V6 to a V8 ... interesting. However if plausible then at what cost???
GMballistic
Convert a V6 to a V8 ... interesting. However if plausible then at what cost??? Wouldn't be cheap ~ not just the engine you'd need either but gearbox, wiring loom, ECU etc. Think Wasso's LS3 swap is still in progress so you could ask him or better yet Bizz who's car is up & running. Cro
If that's a decent engine, and you had a rolling shell or car with engine damage thats definitely a viable option
Wasso
Maybe I've been ripped off, cos that's cheap, on the basis you get an engine, headers, fuel return system, rad, fitting kit, intake, ECU prop shaft and loom (for starters) and fitting for all of that!!!!! What a load of tosh!

HaydnH
Big topic discussing it here: http://my350z.com/fo...apped-350z.html Am I reading that right? He's getting ~350BHP from the 5.6L V8? It hardly seems worth the effort! According to that Wikipedia page the engine is used in some Nismo race cars producing ~600bhp though. HaydnH
i doubt you will find the 600bhp nismo cars are running factory truck parts Motorsport Nismo also uses the VK56DE for FIA GT1 racing. In race trim, it produces 600 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.[5] The Nissan Motorsport VK56DE was launched in Australia for the V8 Supercars Championship in 2013 by Kelly Racing in Melbourne. The engine has been reduced in capacity to 4,990cc to fit the V8 Supercars regulations. It has a bore and stroke of 102.69mm x 75.31mm. It will be fitted to a Nissan Altima version of the V8 Supercars "Car of the Future" specification that will compete from 2013 onwards.[6] From: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_VK_engine#VK56DE
