valy
When does the arch cutting begin? ... as soon as I get the wheels Jeff as I can check the fitting right away and if I have the rear arches pre-fitted the whole process will be quicker...hope there is no delay with my order and should get them at some point in November

valy
so...guess it is time for another update but this time no pics I am afraid.... first of all the Arlon True Blood vinyl wrap that I was planing to use for the Zed is no longer available in UK I have been told....which means I had to rethink my options and... found out something quite interesting! there are two companies that specialise in diy and professional dips and they have improved their dips range to imitate an OEM gloss finish and even better so as they like to call it they released a gloss spray dip,and here I know of 2 main brands, one is Autoflex which has a dealership in Europe and UK and the other is Autodip which soon will also have dealership in Europe/UK they have some dope clips released on youtube that is worth checking out now for my Zed I have placed my orders today and I will have the following: 2x Gallons of High Build Primer + 2x DropIn Tint Black - 2x Gallons of Spray Wrap Pro + (for example) 4x HKS Purple Pearls 1x Gallon of Spray Wrap Pro + (for example) 2x HKS Purple Pearls + 1x Grape Juice 1x AutoFlex High Gloss Gallon Kit (this kit you can use for about 3 cars) now the finish I am trying to achieve is in the below clip: ZeppoJeff will probably hate me....first the wheels after the colour...sorry but it won't be for long as my wheels will also get a gloss dip so at least that will be different...plus my RB kit

I reckon it will be around £20 for a spray can.

valy
most of the parts to finish this project have now been delivered apart from one of the key parts - the wheels been in contact with Driftworks and I have been told we are looking at getting them in December, but I wont hold my breath especially with the festive season holidays upon us all so I thought I'll just carry on and prepare the car further more till then first been working on the front bumper assembling all bits tigersealing the mesh then trying a different 3m seal tape (still not convinced...) got the tyres in as well Goodyear 325/30/19 rears and 285/35/19 fronts also decided to reposition a bit the rear diffuser for a better fitment ordered myself some kmpf gloss black vinyl with air release and wrapped my roof

valy
any updates ? still waiting for the wheels Bob,can't really do any arch cutting without having them in to measure etc....speaking to Driftworks last week they said I might get them shipped from Japan at the end of this week and then I can track them seems like forever now and I just try not to think much about it as it makes me eager to crack on with the job but have my hands tied up... Not sure how long will it take for the shipping company to bring them here...I suspect at least another 2 to 3 weeks minimum...

valy
as promised here are a couple of snaps of the wheels couldn't resist to take a pic in the sun as well had the chance also to see my tyres fitter only to be told that my run flats are not good for these wheels because of the tyre rigidness ... so decided to order myself some new ones ...
