StevoD
Is the front lip supposed to that high, is it not now channeling air under the car,?

StevoD
Only asking as rocket bunny don't even have splitter. Also the guys in that video seems a off, basically says don't use aero to get air to your wheels (brakes) quite sure a few race cars use this. Maybe hes @*!# at presenting and didn't get his point across Or comes across f1 aero logic applys to all cars Edited April 18, 2018 by StevoD
OnlyAfro
That blue one has a front splitter and it is the official RB one, though I think we can all agree the RB kit is very much form over function. I think his point about air to wheels was that you should use aero other than the diffuser to achieve it, not that you shouldn't do it at all. Aerodynamic principles are the same for every car, but the design has to change massively depending on the application and regulations. Taking his FSAE example, those guys spend years tuning their aero (CFD, lapsim, wind tunnel) and some work closely with the likes of Porsche, so they know what they are doing. The important point though was that FSAE is pretty much unrestricted, the rules only really limit the package size, so the design can be fully optimised without having to bodge stuff or develop workarounds to meet regs. valy
ok,point one-the blue rocket bunny and also there is a similar picture with a red one are both computer renderings for the kit presentation as far as I know point two-never built the car for track so the slight angle on this is not relevant for my build but will be at Japfest soon so you can all have a closer look then
