AlanW
Hi, Some of you may have seen my "hello" post in the new members section. Currently my shortlist with promising looking examples is this: 1. Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 : http://www.amcalfaromeo.co.uk/usedcars/ ... d=11250770 2. BMW M Coupe: http://pistonheads.com/sales/335466.htm 3. Audi TT 3.2 DSG: http://pistonheads.com/sales/332206.htm 4. Nissan 350Z GT http://pistonheads.com/sales/349168.htm Does anyone on here have any experience of any of these cars and/or any comments to make? As an Italian car nut, I'm leaning towards the GT 3.
martinmac
OK you asked. 1/ Have a few friends who love these so I can see where you are coming from. Not a big fan personaly. 2/ One ugly car, if i were to get a beemer it would have to be something special. 3/ Go for it, everyone else has one. 4/

M13KYF
has to be the Z. We're a Z forum afterall
AK350Z
Were you perhaps expecting an unbiased opinion? I love (old) alfas too, but a least a Zed will be worth something in a few years time! There hasn't been a dynamic alfa since they stopped doing RWD.
sinbad
I dont think anyone has any experience with the 350z sorry

Sorry! Go for the Zed.
lomoto
1.... against... Italian Reliability probs with abysmal dealer back up (yes worse than Nissan dealers apparently ) 2... against... the badge 3... against...one for the ladies really 4... against.. not a lot really (but what did you expect on this forum )
Ekona
Honestly? I'd have the BM out of that lot. Cheaper than the others so you can put the money towards any repairs, arguably the best engine there, and a lot of character. Of course you have the badge, but I'd look past it and find a very good car underneath. The Alfa is beautiful but fragile and Alfa dealers are horrible, the TT handles like a bucket on wheels and is too poseurish (but you might want that, indeed that's probably the reason I'd get an Alfa!), and there's not too much wrong with the Z, it's just that the BMW is the better drive. I'd be happy with any of those on my drive tbh, except the TT.
get12
and there's not too much wrong with the Z, it's just that the BMW is the better drive. Nice car - has not got the looks though IMHO
Stew
Well, the alfa is lovely looking but will bankrupt you, the beemer has a nice engine but is ugly (in my opinion,) the TT is just plain gay. The Zed is good. I do like other cars and have given an honest opinion, it depends what you like. If you posted on each forum I bet you'd get the same answers but with the 'forum' car coming out top. Digsy
Would be worried about Alfa reliability and the TT has the exclusivity of an Escort and really isn't that good a car. For me it comes down to the BMW and the Zed. BeeEmm has the badge and feels a higher quality product but you do pay more for the privilege. The Zed is extremely good value for a fine sports car and drives just as well. I love the way both cars look but whilst pretty much everyone I know loves Zed, the BMW is a marmite car and many will think its fugly. As a final point, if you drive a Zed people generally are friendly and intrigued by it, if you get Beemer you may never be let out of a junction again.
