Steve3085
Hi guys, Went with a mate to infinity exhaust near Bristol as he was getting his fitted. I enquired about getting a system put on my 350, and was quoted £750. Has anyone here had an exhaust fitted by them, so I can hear it? And also, does anyone near Gloucester area have an ark grip I can come listen to, as my k1 is a bit loud for my liking. Thanks Steve
GMballistic
That seems a lot to me Steve for an exhaust system that I'm guessing is one that they custom make for you just like Longlife exhausts do which is a company I'm familiar with as I've used them in the past. You can buy decent branded exhaust systems that have had proper R&D (Research & Development) time spent on them for less than that which would be better imo. For example, Buddy Club Pro Spec from the Cougar Store (£718.80): http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_10&products_id=98 ...Or you could go for a Cobra system & Cobra Y-pipe for again, similar money. Plenty of exhaust systems available for the 350Z that any garage would be able to fit for you. Have a look at what the professional traders on here can do for you by looking in the "Professional Traders" area: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/93-professional-traders/ Some more exhaust choices for you to look at from two of the traders on here below. veilside z
I have used them before, they do a great fitting service. They modified an R35 box to suit my son's Z.
redzed8
They did my mates exhaust on his 328i from the cat back for £350. I got a quote for my 350z for a single exit which was £350. We did notice last week though that one of the brackets from the exhaust have snapped off and made a hole in the back box though.. But im sure it wont be a problem for them to resolve . RS8055
750 quid seems very steep imo... as GM says above, might be better off getting a branded exhaust with some R&D done on the product.
RS8055
My personal recommendation would be Invidia Gemini cat-back That's what I'm running and it sounds lovely!

Steve3085
I'm a bit of a noob with the 350z, that 750 quote was from the flexi pipe back. Is that from the cat? I had a 200sx and had a hks hi power silent on it, which came to life when you gave it beans. So is the Gemini like that..? Anyone in the Gloucester area got one I can come listen too? Thanks GM for the links... 👠Like the look of the Ark Grip! Just not the price.. 😂
Lexx
Mondo just had Infinity make an exhaust for his 300zx. You can find him under Hide n Seat in the Trader area. He's very pleased with it.

Thanks GM for the links... í ½í± Like the look of the Ark Grip! Just not the price.. í ½í¸‚ This is what the OEM Nissan 350Z exhaust system looks like (DE variant). 1 & 2 are your "Cats" which are the first parts of the exhaust system bolted to the exhaust manifolds (one on either side of the V6 engine). They join onto number 4 which is your "Y-pipe" < This can have "flexi joints" which is what Infinity have quoted your exhaust starting from by the sounds of it. Number 6 is your centre section and finally number 8 your back box. The Invidia Gemini true dual exhaust system is a very good exhaust system. You get a lot of value for your money imo with that system: it is a "Cat to back" system and that includes replacing your Y-pipe with Invidias version that has sliding metal joints so no flexi joints to break/tear or corrode. It is a true dual system so both sides of the exhaust are kept separate from each side of the engine. It's actually what I chose for my own 2003 Nissan 350Z when I had it. Video below of mine but bear in mind the sound in person will be different & everybody hears differently plus I was running Berks De-Cats, oh & it was supercharged, ....but just to give you an idea. Nice! Thanks for the vid, if you had a supercharged one, what you driving now?? 😠What was the tone like doing motorway speeds? And general cruising? As that my real concern. GMballistic
Nice! Thanks for the vid, if you had a supercharged one, what you driving now?? What was the tone like doing motorway speeds? And general cruising? As that my real concern. Some more videos of my old Zed on my Youtube channel here: https://www.youtube....iZ6yuBPT99e4Niw My old build thread here: http://www.350z-uk.c...upe-vids-added/ Currently driving an Audi S3 Quattro: http://www.350z-uk.c...ew-german-whip/ I had the Invidia Gemini originally on my Zed with Berks HFC's (High Flow Cats) before the car was supercharged. The tone of the system was imo really nice & not too intrusive. I then moved on after my Zed was supercharged to Berks De-Cats with the Invidia Gemini system. This was on another level sound wise especially on WOT (wide open throttle). I wouldn't say it droned at all on the motorways but it definitely wasn't quiet. Everyone hears things differently though so if you can hear these exhaust systems in person before you buy then that is always going to be the best way but imo the Invidia Gemini coupled with the Berks HFC's is a very good exhaust system for the 350. jamez87
DC headers, motordyne art pipes and invidia Gemini....lovely sound to the exhaust, not intrusive in anyway but the tone is just right!
