zebedy
Cut a long story short, fitted a full K1 System few months back and the tail pipes are about 1/2 " too short coming out of my modified rear bumper because ive mated it with a lower esprit full valance. I now have exhaust soot / black fumes residue on my bumper so the tips need to be longer. I can get new tubes made no problem in work to slip over the tips to make them longer but fancy that Neo, titanium, burnt, call it what you like look. Does anyone know how to achieve this using 316 or 321 grade stainless steel.? thanks

Hayd350
Take a blowtorch to it Thats what I did with my backbox And my 350Z x Brace That x brace looks awesome, must look great through the rear window. I'd be after something like that myself. Custom job i assume?

Hayd350
Yeah I will do definitely. Take it it bolts through the seatbelts and then welds to the rear brace?
Scott TMN
No welding just bolt in and out job Like you say bolts through seat belts point and then under the plastics of the rear strut, there are 2 tapped holes so just picks up on them

martybhoy
I was told that if you heat steel to give this effect then use any sort of cleaning product on the tips it will come off. Anyone know if this is correct?

Anyone know if this is correct? Metal polish contains abrasives and will remove the burnt effect from the metal. As will any other product with abrasives in.
