marzman
Hi guys, I recently decided to get another Range Rover Sport having sold my previous one in 2014. It's only a stop gap for the time being... to be honest the RRS interior feels really dated now. In around 18 months i'm hoping to get something much newer (New shape RRS, Macan, FPace, or 718 Cayman are the front runners at the moment, in that order). I've been to see a few old Range's and they have all been lemons so far, but I found a good one today. Its a 56-plate with 100k on the clock in the colour combination i wanted (black/frost leather), and the HSE spec (sat nav, heated seats, fridge etc). Best part is though that it's the TDV8 Diesel, so has buckets of power. It's 268bhp and 640nm of Torque, with an 8.4 second 0-60 time, which feels really quick in a 2.5 tonne car. I had a test drive today and it was lovely. Importantly the service history was impeccable (scary, even). Full Land Rover Service history, with all the receipts. It had £3.2k spent on it in December 2015 on a few bits, as well as a few other £2k+ receipts from a couple of years ago. I've got some mods planned for it... side steps and an autobiography grill will be first, followed by wheels probably, and maybe tinted windows. Hopefully picking it up next Saturday. HEADPHONES
There's something very reassuring about the door handles on a Rangr Rover. Whenever I get into my mates Vogue and pull on the handle I get that feeling of ruggedness and indestructability. Enjoy the new ride. HEADPHONES
Scratches along the whole side driving against bushes. Left door untouched. Passenger door sorted in 5 minutes
monkeybrain1234
Nice. Thinking of getting a RRS later this year as will need to ditch one of the two seaters we currently have. (Z & MR2 roadster). If you don't mind I may ask you a few questions later in the yard as you seem to know what you are talking about with these cars.
veilside z
Lovely car buddy. I had the 06 HSE in black with same interior colour. Hope you have lots of enjoyment.

The huge panels on Rangie's seem to be a magnet for scratches! Nice. Thinking of getting a RRS later this year as will need to ditch one of the two seaters we currently have. (Z & MR2 roadster). coldel
My mate is thinking of selling his RRS, think its a 56 plate also (on private plate) with 52k miles. Had £5k worth of driveshaft/suspension work done last year as well.
marzman
First mod has been done on the RRS... I ordered a sidestep kit off ebay for £120. Really good quality kit and easy to fit - all bolted on to existing fixings. Took me about 3 hours in total. Before: During: After: Also since picking up the car i found out it's got a couple of toys which i didnt realise it had... Firstly it's got Adaptive Cruise Control, where you can set the distance you'd like to remain from the car in front, and it will speed up or slow down accordingly. Really well implemented tech and is lovely to use. Secondly - it's got freeview TV via the sat nav screen! Its actually pretty cool!

HEADPHONES
The side steps look sweet. On a Range they actually come in really handy getting in out too
