iLott
So after owning a Zed for two and a half years and then trading it in for a Subaru, I decided to sell the Subaru and get another Zed! Here is my previous build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?/topic/81551-ILott%27s-Build-Thread&share_tid=81551&share_fid=55548&share_type=t But my new one's got a big ol' hairdryer 😈 I bought her from Jetpilot (Jon) Updates to come with mods and such like! iLott
So, just finished my first ever attempt at wrapping. I had some Nismo style spats from when I owned a Zed denote and never got round to fitting them. So I decided with much haste to have a go at wrapping them prior to a little fit test. Not too bad, if I do say so myself! Underneath leaves something to be desired though! Hoping you can't see it when fitted... That is all for now. Stan
Out of sight, out of mind I say when wrapping lol. If you can't see it... no-one knows it's been done badly or not! Will like to see how you fit them in detail as I want a go at fitting some myself

iLott
I have a feeling it's going to be hard to fit them. One of them is a bit distorted, I can only guess from being cheap. So we'll see! 🙈 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GMballistic
Zed looks great but honestly this thread needs more pictures of it (imo).
iLott
Unfortunately I currently don't have a lot of pics of it! I only picked her up one Saturday, so I only have that lonely old pic. I'll soon have more pics of her, and hopefully can make her my own. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

iLott
Little update: Today I went ahead and fitted some new side light bulbs and some chrome indicator bulbs. I also had a go at wrapping the insert on the ings lip. It didn't really go to plan! Serves me right really for ordering cheap wrap off of eBay. I'll have another go at some point. I did also fit my new personalised reg, without realising that I need to wait for the V5 before I can transfer the reg number onto the car 🙈🙈🙈 So I had to stick the old number plate over my new ones for now. Hope they come off easy enough... 😠And the last thing. I attempted to fit the Nismo style spats, and that didn't go well at all. They aren't a very good fit, so would need a body shop to have a go. That's not something I want to do so I'll be going for some G35 splash guards instead. That is all for now folks. iLott
So today I went about fitting my new LED lights. Went as well as could be expected. I also did a couple of little bits like adjust the throw of the headlights, the boot popper 1penny trick and a little mod I like to call 'iLott's fuel filler cap mod which makes the car look like how it should have been from factory' mod. 🙈 Before After That's all for now sports fans... Stan
Big like on the fuel cap mod Agreed, this has always annoyed me as well! Any more info on what you did to it?
iLott
Yeah mate sorry, just put a reasonable size washer between the lower part of fuel door mechanism and where it's held. That brings the bottom of the fuel door in a bit and makes it sit more flush. You can also play about with it aswell as its mounted on slotted holes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited June 26, 2016 by iLott
iLott
Right so, small/ medium sized update. Got some goodies from Tarmac Sportz. Got myself some side steps, TS style diffuser and some g35 splash guards. Took me a couple of hours to fit, realising that I was missing a fair few bolts/screws bearing in mind this is the first time since buying the car that I have been near these parts! Just got a couple of pics of the finished products. I wish they made a top secret style diffuser that goes all the way across the bumper instead of having vortex diffusers! I did order wheels too, but we had a slight problem with JR sending out the complete wrong wheels. Which was fun. More updates to come! valy
nice one probably the first grey Zed I actually like and it goes well with those purple wheels
iLott
Ah that's awkward, I'm changing to black 🙈 haha purple was a choice of the previous owner, I liked it at first but then grew to dislike it. So they are being changed and will be up for sale soon 😬 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
nimz
I like the grey too, got a bit of a USDM vibe about it but if you're not going down the slammed with big shiny wheels route then I get why you would want to change it.

iLott
Small update - So went to sainsburys during my lunch break on Friday after having a run around to show a friend what the car can do! Got back from the shop and went to start the car to hear the fuel pump change note before I started the car. Attempted to start the car and it wouldn't. Then I smelt some lovely fuel and thought, oh bother. Called back into work and got a friend to come out with a jack and and some tools to investigate, hoping that a connector had popped off or something. Jacked the car up and found that the stainless steel braided fuel hose had ruptured. On further investigation, I found that over a long time the sump had been wearing away at the fuel hose and it had frayed the stainless braid and weakened the rubber underneath. This was due to poor routing of the fuel line. So I went back into work and grabbed some snips, 10mm stainless steel tube, and two hose clips. After a long haul of tearing at stainless steel with blunt side cutters, managed to bodge it and get home. Jet pilot (Jon) got a swift phone call to find out information on the fuel hose and was kind enough to post me the length he had left over after having it fitted in the first place, and today I changed it. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the hole or the bodge. But take it from me, they were both spectacular! This is the material that was worn away by the fuel hose, on the sump. I think my car weighs more than a Lorry... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
