Windscreen rubber hanging off - safe to drive?

Hi all,

I got my windscreen replaced about 3 months ago. Had about a 100 mile trip yesterday and could hear a loud whistling noise when I was going fast - like air rushing. Then, today, I noticed the rubber surrounding the windscreen is about to come right off. Is this safe to drive on the motorway for a long trip? Should I worry about heavy rain?

You might loose the rest. Push it back in and put a little Black Mastic or Clear Silicon under the last area before pushing home. Make sure the area is clean and dry. Wipe any surplus with White Spirit.

It won't be seen so just use some type of adhesive to make sure it's held securely in place.

As what has already been said, however these seals should be replaced when a new screen is fitted.

 

Prehaps time for a trip back to the windscreen specialist
