SiriusProjects
Hi All, Today I had my car serviced and checked over as the MOT is due soon. My mechanic mentioned that a panel on the underside of the car is quite badly rusted. He has removed the excess rust and tidied it up a bit, but it's going to have to be sorted at some point. The image below is from a little while ago, you can see where it has rusted in the areas I have circled. My mechanic said that as it is near the rear suspension, it could be an issue picked up in the MOT, which it could be failed on. He says that the panel appears to be bolted to the underside of the car, so I was wondering if it's possible to get hold of a replacement. I can't tell from the picture if it's one continuous piece running the width of the car or if it's one panel on each side. Can anyone help or advise? Thanks. ZMANALEX
It is one continuous piece and is a pain to remove and fit. It should not effect the MOT so I would leave it alone.
Mopedmark
Get some rust proof on it and a good undercoat
