cob1980
Busy few days, finally got the G35 spats fitted which I bought back in 2016 (£80). What a PITA these were to fit [properly]...never again. I used a combination of TigerSeal and fibreglass/resin to get them bonded solid. Had them sprayed up this week (£245 ) here's the result.... FINALLY finished my headlights after 2 years lol... so pleased with the results... So the exterior is pretty much done how I want now. Just rear carbon diffuser and possibly red callipers. Just a reminder of how it was a couple of years ago when I purchased it to now.... More to come... Iain.

Whilst the front bumper was off to fit the headlights I fitted this EVO-R Type I air duct, I managed to get this from a fellow member GrahameJ for £93. Small bit of trim-age required... Hi-flow cats on order now, which will complete the mods before remap.... EVO-R air duct Velocity stack mod Cosworth panel filter Motordyne plenum spacer Lower plenum thermal gasket ARK R-Spec High Flow cats (to be fitted) Unknown Y-pipe Nismo exhaust That's all... 1CE
That nismo exhaust really helps complete the back end .

Yer I was thinking the same except I have already bought a carbon fibre rear diffuser which will cover it! ...I can always remove it though if I change my mind. Yes, hoping they sound good given how much they cost lol. Don't hold your breath for the remap though - I expect I won't be able to do it until next year 3 hours ago, cearnshaw85 said: love those wheels - the lip and sides really set this off Thanks mate I'm chuffed with the outcome!! CGR
Car is looking awesome dude! I was also thinking about getting the grams skirts/steps and their front lip and rear diffuser, but noticed a few bad reviews of their stuff recently. Looks like you've not had any issues with quality though.

The first set of side steps were poor, with a bit of pushing they collected them and sent a replacement set which were perfect. The rear diffuser was near perfect, slight imperfection on part of the CF but not really noticeable. I did complain however that the centre mount was missing and no fasteners provided. I ended up binning the standard side brackets and doing my own anyway. I'd say go for it, but if you are not happy with what you receive then complain. Not ideal, but sometimes you have no choice if you can't find it elsewhere.
CGR
Another total newb question, any issues with the side steps over speed bumps?

Not speed humps but they can catch up steep inclines such as multi-storey car parks or dropped kerbs if you drive up them at an angle. They are barely any lower TBH. Also depends if your car is lowered already?

cob1980
A few of mods since my last post, rear carbon fibre diffuser, ARC v2 oil catch can (which I actually fitted ages ago just not documented yet), rear window decals, and personalised plate which I can't arsed to blank out anymore. At Silverstone Japfest I had a professional photo shoot done by Blue Pig Photography, chuffed with the outcome, here are just some of them... I'm pretty much done with the exterior now (near end of Zeditus? - naa !), it's how I imagined and wanted it to be. Iain.
davey_83
I've gotta say not even professional pictures does this 350z justice, it's sooooo nice and truly pampered 24/7. Iain, I think this is the first car I've ever seen where the catch can will be cleaner on the inside than out lol I do think it wants a light tint to the side and rear windows maybe....
reeceybeaney
Still one of my favourite azure 350z's Loving the updates! Maybe something with the exterior door handles next to go with the wheels or carbon?

Lewis Schwier
Re visiting this post for inspiration, one of my favourite builds along with @SHEZZA So clean and simple. OEM+ which I think is always the best way to go. Been a couple of years, are you still in ownership?

OEM+ which I think is always the best way to go. Been a couple of years, are you still in ownership? Hi Lewis Wow honestly I didn't realise it's been so long since my last update....nearly 2 years!! My daughter was born June 2018 and since then I've just had so little time. Yes I'm still in ownership. Last year I did debate selling it since I used it so little, but I can't part with it! I've just had it mot'd, thankfully as usual it sailed though no advisories etc the mot guy said it's spotless underneath. Now that I'm on here I'll put a few updates on. Thanks for the compliments by the way, I do prefer the OEM+ look, that's exactly it "clean and simple". I have most of the original parts if I wanted to change anything back. I recently bought a set of standard Rays for it, I need to get them refurb'd. I'm undecided whether I'd keep both sets of wheels or not. If we are not locked down I'll be at the Indoor Jap Show this year. Iain.
cob1980
2019 the battery gave up. I took on the challenge of finding the biggest capacity battery that would fit without any modification. I found the Bosch S4 026, and even better it had a blue top! 70Ah with 630A cranking power.
cob1980
Next up for summer 2019 were my ARK Performance Spec-R High Flow Cats. These beautifully made HFC's have been sat in a box for quite some time before I got around to having them fitted. I do have some before and after videos, but I guess I have to host these on YouTube or something? I compared the previous Mot emissions with standard cats to this years Mot with HFS's. Here are the results: Standard cats: CO 0.019 (max 0.200) HC 0 (Max 200) Lambda 1.002 (1.000 is optimum) HFC's CO 0.050 (max 0.200) HC 14 (max 200) Lambda 0.999 (1.000 is optimum) All very low which is testament to the quality of them. However, I'm not convinced I'll be keeping the HFC's. I'm not 100% on the combination of the Nismo + HFC's. I prefer something a little more subtle. So these could be up for sale! cob1980
And that brings me to January 2020, big shout out to @davey_83 for spotting a bargain on Gumtree and forwarding on to me, £150 for a set of standard Rays. They need to be refurbished but for £150 what a bargain, the Falken Ziex front tyres are near new also.
