cob1980
That front splitter looks really nice. Did you have to trim any of it to fit? Cheers yes very pleased with it especially considering how much some carbon fibre lips are. Very minimal adjustment, just used the dremel on one of the corners on the right hand side as it was a bit too tight. One screw either side and then Sikaflex to bond it on. Please fit those facelift front lights haha. Or sell them to me! Ha! I've had them for a year now, I've cleaned up the lenses as the one especially was very scratched. But I want them blacked out and iron man mod first. Just not got around to sorting it. Looking forward to that mod though!
cob1980
On Saturday was the first day I took the Z out since the end of Nov last year, I realised the radiator fans had packed up. I tried to refurbish the old motors; this worked to a certain extent but I don't think the passenger side fan was 100%. Mitz at Cougar Store sorted me out with a pair of Mishimoto fans for £180 which I got fitted this week. I was warned on here and by Mitz and on here about how noisy they are. On one hand it's reassuring that you can hear them working but on the other hand they do get a bit of getting used to. Anyway, all fixed cleaned and ready for it's service and Mot. Good news - service done and Mot with no advisories And the sun was shining so out for a drive... Iain. cob1980
Looking awesome buddy! The azure blue is so nice. Just how noisy are the fans then? Cheers yeah love the Azure blue. Because the fans are single speed it's the same as when you are stuck in traffic for ages but even just having the aircon on does this. If I can find replacement motors at a reasonable price I'l probably change it back, but for now it's not top of my list as it works. Need to work on these headlights next... reeceybeaney
The mishimoto fans are noisy, very noticeable if stuck in traffic Hate seeing azure blue zeds like this, makes me wish I got one Lovely zed!
HEADPHONES
Looking very tasty sir. I bet there aren't many "17" registered cars with paint looking as good as yours. With a private plate on, a non petrol head may well mistake it for a NEW car!

Thanks mate, ha yes had to be an Azure when I was looking. Although I do quite like the grey zeds too. Looking very tasty sir. I bet there aren't many "17" registered cars with paint looking as good as yours. With a private plate on, a non petrol head may well mistake it for a NEW car! It's not bad at all considering its age, I do forget that it is a 12 year old car it just doesn't seem it! I wouldn't mind a dateless plate there's just not one that I've seen yet that I really like (and can afford ha).

That was the one I originally had my eyes on. It was from Redline Styling via ebay think he's trader on here but you can find him on ebay or Facebook too, here's the Facebook link https://m.facebook.com/RedlineStyling/?locale2=en-GB&oe. Perhaps it was a one off at that price as he only had the one available. Iain.

If you could let me know thanks paul Hi Paul I used this stuff: http://www.screwfix.com/p/geocel-trade-mate-mirror-fix-white-310ml/95057?_requestid=374876 Good for metal panels and heat resistant, i fitted a couple as a test, left for 24hrs and took the Z out for a drive to warm up. Couldnt shift them so looks to have done the trick. I cleaned and degreased before fitting, and used folded post-it notes to hold them in place Just hope i never want to remove them now... cob1980
Meh...I've left this for so long now and so much has happened I can't remember everything but I'll do my best to update (probably take me a few posts). The Mishimoto fans I just couldn't get used to so that had to go. I found a replacement OEM spec fans from the US. The costs including postage and import duties were half the price than than buying Mishimoto fans. Total: $130 so roughly £90. And sold my Mishitmoto's for £120. Bit of a disaster, on a short drive out on a dual carriageway I drove over one of those lorry ratchet straps. It ripped off one of my side canards, there was no way of retrieving it so had to continue. They weren't replaceable either so I found a similar replacement. These were £100 for the pair off ebay. I fitted a CTEK charger in the garage which a plug in the grill so it's easy to connect when parked up: Pretty boring updates sorry. Headlights are now finished though, hopefully these will be on this week...only taken 2 years More updates later in the week. Iain.
