raysw20
Hi All, I have been a Sheffield Wednesday fan for 25 or so years. I haven't been to watch them for a couple of season as most of the time, when they are at home I'm either working or away. I was wondering are there any owls going to the championship final? I going to try my best to get a ticket when they are released to general public on Tuesday morning. WAWAW Ray
jowen7448
Bah was mislead on the title here. Thought we were going to have a discussion about the birds of prey rather than football.

GMballistic
Sorry Ray I don't give a hoot about football. Think you might be owl by yourself at the final.

raysw20
Sorry Randy_baton. Before we scored that equalizer, I thought you might actually do us. You played well to be fair and very unlucky not to go up automatically.
Ricey
Not an Owls fan but I do have a fond memory of my first ever Everton game at home to Wednesday. Barry 'I score dipping piledrivers' Horne score an equaliser for us on his debut from his usual 30 yards. At least I'll get to welcome the boys down here next season.
Payco
Spooky Mr Baton. I am a Villa fan too. Had a season ticket whilst I was still living where I am now from 1991-1996. Been following Villa since 1976. Currently a season ticket holder at the Amex and have been for 3 years. Cant believe we finished 15 points above the Owls and battered them first half the other night and still didn't get there. I fear Villa may struggle again next season although I have only seen them first hand 4 times this year at VP. raysw20
I agree you did batter us in the first half, but over the two legs I thought we did enough to go through. Watching hull last night, I thought they where poor and we have nothing to fear. They havent beaten us this season either I also think villa will go down again unfortunately
Payco
I don't disagree with you about Villa next season. Sadly the writing has been on the wall for 4 seasons. When we sold Vlar,Delph and Benteke having just stayed up the year before we were destined to go down. The club chose not to do anything to address this and have paid the price. As you know if you are a Owls fan you have to be at it every week in the championship and the current Villa team don't have the appetite for that each week. They could easily fall again but lets hope not. Good luck in the final and well played.
raysw20
The problem is, in order to fight every game next season villa will have to get rid of the 1st team they are poor. I dont know how good your youth team is but they wont be ready for the championship and I doubt the board will put money in for them to competitive. Long hard road back. Weve been there and now on the verge of being back to were we were 17 years ago
Payco
I agree, I was there then and it was painful. The Holte End moaned when Ellis was there but he knew how to run the cLub and loved it. Lerner has sold us down the river just like he did in the USA. Edited May 18, 2016 by Payco
raysw20
unfortunately there are a number of "big" clubs who are suffering. Leeds utd seemed to have a bell end of a owner, Forest seem to always have a transfer embargo. Bolton are doomed. Charlton are in trouble too Yes I know the last two arent as Big as leeds but these where in the prem a few years back doing quiet well and where financially stable
