Lowrcase
I'm gonna be getting my '06 GT roadster remapped soon but wanna do a few health check things first, like oil & filter, fuel filter, aux belts & the spark plugs. Now I've heard about "spark plug upgrades" when chucking more power through like going 1 grade colder, also known as just getting a slightly smaller gapped plug. Has anyone actually done this? Will it really make any difference on a N/A car that only looking to go stage 1 remap? Gotta be iridium anyhoo so is there a brand that seems to work better than another on the DE engine? I may have this thread in the wrong section as its been a long while since I last posted. Any help on this matter will be muchly appreciated.😠
veeg33
From my understanding, unless you go F/I, you don't need those one step colder plugs. Just normal NGK iridium will do,
coldel
Copper core are fine also, iridium give no performance upgrade over copper just longevity and cost a fraction of the price. Often see people changing iridiums regularly at high cost when they should be just using coppers if they are doing it that frequently. Tricky-Ricky
Just fit a std grade plug, iridium, platinum just provide a longer service life than std so called copper core, (they all have a copper core by the way) there is no such thing as an upgrade plug, they all do the same thing, its just peoples opinions that are different. AMT
Iridium ones will do just fine, bit pricey but they do last a very long time.
