JoeSwin
Hi, Looking for a little help and seeing if anyone can recommend a paint shop in coventry or warwickshire or surrounding areas. Looking to get my front end in the future. This time I'm looking for my girlfriends uncle (83). A couple of places have tried to rip him off (quite clearly) recently. Peugeot 208, Black. Looking for a bonnet respray. There's about 10 or so 'wire wool' patches (daft bloke did it himsel, not thinking). Most could probably buff out but as its a disability car they are pretty difficult sometimes. Anyway they are quoting for a new bonnet (trying it on) Does anyone know of a good body shop in the area? And how muc should I be looking for a bonnet spray, or repair of the patches,
Wendy
Manhatten Motors in Coventry. I would have no problems in recommending them having had a full restoration respray on my VR6 Corrado just 6 months ago. No idea of price mind. Good Luck
Vlad
Cawston Car Bodies in Rugby. Worked on 2 of my cars and many cars of my mates and done a perfect job each time and very reasonable prices!
samsniss350z
I've had a couple of repairs done on my Azure blue Zed by Matty at SBS and was really pleased, not only by the way he'd blended the paint but also the price. He's based on the Avon Industrial Estate, Rugby. If you need more info PM me. I have no affiliation with him other than the fact he's worked on mine and my stepfathers cars and was recommended by a mate.
Justthejedi
Would love to be able to recommend a bodyshop in Rugby but unfortunately I can't as the x3 I tried didn't want to fit and paint a front splitter as it was "too fiddly".
GeorgeB
@JoeSwin did you get any work done in the end? I'm also looking for a body shop near Coventry, would be great to hear who you decided on and how you got on?
JoeSwin
I did. It was work done on a Peugeot 308 though. I took it to Rugby Car Care. As i live in Rugby and they are the preferred Peugeot body shop - they also were a great deal better value than anywhere else. I did what I do anywhere I get work done, and set out my expectations and agreed on them, and said to contact me when they're happy. There is also a place around North Cov where my companies show cars/models go to get sprayed, Quite pricey but the best job i've seen done locally - the only problem is it shows up the rest of the panels... GeorgeB
What's the place you mentioned that the show cars go to? I'm willing to take the risk on it looking too good, can always wash it with a gritty sponge to sort that out
