coldel
Oh my good lord! Not sure an Elise needed so much extra downforce, given they stick like anything to the tarmac anyway...unless he has 500bhp under the hood that needs taming?
coldel
Also have to be a little careful with this Barry lot as sometimes they make an arse of themselves, I remember one prominent member on there put up a picture of this car laying into the stickers/wing etc. Turns out it was a mates car off the VX220 club, and everything on there is there because sponsors pay for them to be there Mike was time attack champion in his class two years running
350 Russ
How one guy abused this gorgeous vehicle... Courtesy of Barryboys I remember this from a few years back. It was running a standard k-series back then and wanted to enter time attack racing. Looks utterly ludicrous to me

ilogikal1
I remember this from a few years back. It was running a standard k-series back then and wanted to enter time attack racing. Looks utterly ludicrous to me I also remember this from back then. IIRC the "aero" bolted to it was literally home-made and just bolted to it because the owner had seen something used that looked similar rather than because it actually does anything or researched in any form at all; so any aero on that car that's functional is purely by luck rather than design, let alone being beneficial to the aero.

Yeah it was a Haynes manual on aerodynamics wasn't it lol
HEADPHONES
On a serious note, I would be a little nervous following that at speed on the motorway fo fear of it flying off the car and causing an accident.
Stutopia
The 850 estate in the background has a more convincing aero package
Jetpilot
I remember this from a few years back. It was running a standard k-series back then and wanted to enter time attack racing. Good old turbotaoster or turbo to**er most referred to him as. There is a post elsewhere on here about this guy, scan the web, he is infamous, its on overclockers, pistonheads etc, he also crashed at brands hatch (last year i think). He had a brief stay of execution into Rx7 ownership which also didnt go well. Appeared on the forum and proceeded to tell everyone he was going to build a 200mph Rx7 for £10k, when asked how he could do that, he proceeded to tell everyone the Rx7 specialists were doing things wrong and basically everyone on the entire forum didnt have a clue, it was quite amusing to be fair. How everyone cheered when he wrote his std Rx7 off and went onto forums new and then the Lotus appeared, to every ones amusement, aerodynamacists were chipping in telling him his "theories" were wrong, he didnt believe them as he had "done some research". A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. C*ck of the highest order http://www.pistonhea...c.asp?t=1316093 http://www.lotustalk...k-build-167082/ Edited May 15, 2016 by Jetpilot
ilogikal1
I recall he actually reused the turbo that had been in a fire on that Elise. He went to extent of making the charred turbo shiny (on the outside) first though... I have no idea how that ended.
TT350
Could bolt an Ikea shelf to the back and achieve the same look. Lol.
rtbiscuit
There must be so much weight and push at the back it proably wheelies all the way down the road.

However, Barryboys pulled a classic one off here: http://www.barryboys...pic.php?t=34111 The S15 was custom built for Phil Morrison of Driftworks and I think won a European title, a British title, various European events and ended up as a prize car in Live for Speed or something, the Blitz Skyline ......... well, from about 1:24 here: Edited May 17, 2016 by docwra
