Roadster roof fails to open fully

Hi Guys

 

Was nearly guilty of kicking my precious 350Z roadster today. First decent day of sunshine so decided to end SORN and get on the road, Car has been garaged all winter with the roof up and the opening mechanism stubbornly refused to take it past the three-quarters open stage which doesn't look entirely elegant. Any advice on how to speed it on its way?

Id be looking to lube up all the joints with some spray to help loosen it all up

As what Will has said + run the car with the roof up and get the heater on full hot blast for half an hour to soften the fabric.

 

Also a fully charged battery always helps.
