350Z :stir:

Actually I think the Zed has probably been the most reliable car I've ever bought. Touches wood. My desk. Not knob.

Haha brilliant. I agree, I have had 4 years of relatively cheap motoring.

To be honest the worst car I ever owned was my 2002 Celica 190. It was almost impossible to keep it in 'Lift' (Toyota's VTEC) when changing from 2nd to 3rd.

I've never owned a poor car.

 Why did that not surprise me :p

Well someone on here has to have good taste :p

Ok Dan not having a go at you but "never owned a poor (cr*p) car" & "have good taste"? May I remind you of the following below.... :stir::dry:

Ford Focus 1.8 TDdi,

...are you sure?. :lol::D

(I know it was your first car so definitely a cut above what I had still. ;) )

Worst car I owned purely for the amount of things that went wrong on it & the money it cost me was my 1996 JDM Subaru Impreza WRX.

  • Engine blew (one month after I bought it) ~ oil pump failure leading to big end failure. (Rebuilt engine to better than OEM spec £4.5K)
  • Gearbox failed ~ most parts internally replaced.
  • Rear diff broke.
  • Front diff needed adjusting ~ then broke afterwards.
  • Gearbox failed again ~ rebuilt completely apart from parts from last build which were ok.
  • Various sensors replaced in the engine bay ~ can't remember them all.
  • Engine blown again after 12K miles covered since rebuild ~ this time put a piston crank arm through the block.
  • Sold the POS as a non-runner to a Subaru specialist who used it for parts & the shell.

The mk1 Focus is a design classic!

Bah, philistines.

;)

Definitely a better design than my 1988 MK1 Nissan Micra that I had as my first car I'll give you that. :D;)

Austin Maestro....needed a car quick and cheap....so called mate said his dad was selling one paid £300 for it...think it used its value in oil in the 6 months that i had it.

steering was iffy, gearbox was iffy.

just a nasty car

MG Maestro 1600cc which was an absolute dog. Could never get the twin weber carburettors to balance, hot restarts was just a joke and very embarrasing, cylinder head cracked, gear linkage just fell off so couldn't get any gears.....and then I crashed into the back of somebody at a round-about which cost me a fortune to fix.
