If the repair was that cheap, then it would never have been a write off, Insurance co (very rough figures) New bumper: £500 New bonnet £500 plastics £400 odd clips etc: £100 2 new lights: £1000 labour: £1000 paint: £1000 undertray/arch liners: £500 total: ~£5k Dad's costs (again rough) bonnet, bumper, bits of plastic: £400 lights: £100 Weekend's work : £0 And a nice big cheque from the ins co.
