Tidying up bits of Zed trim

There are few bits on the 350, inside and out I'd like to tidy up/replace. Anyone got any advice/places to buy?

1. Door rubber/water scraper (top of the door, below the glass, outside) - Nissan quoted £92!!

2. Interior brushed aluminium handle insert - Mine is scratched, some on eBay US for about £40 but unsure if they're ok to swap sides

3. Interior door, buttons surrounds - The usual scratched Zed door trim, should be able to rub down and spray

4. Interior central cubby clip - Scratched to buggery, is this available to buy separately?

and a top tip you might not be aware of, scratches on the textured black dash plastic can be improved with a black wax crayon.

For replacement bits I would PM zmanalex or emperor. Both traders on here.

Door button surround as you say. Rub down and respray ( doing mine today funnily enough!!). The cubby button I'm guessing with a bit of careful masking and a bit of a rough up with a scotch pad could also be resprayed (I did my sat nav door and button with satin black from B&Q)

As Paul said zmanalex & Emperor Tuning are probably your best bet for good used parts.

Re: the interior parts ~ well another option is you could have them hydro dipped AKA water transfer printed as I did mine (link below).

If you decide to go down that route then try getting a quote from Eve@AquaGraphix or Ricey@revolveautomotive

  • 2 weeks later...

Would I be correct in saying the black inserts around the door handle/vents are a pain in the ass to remove and the door panel needs to come off?

If you mean the part that encloses the vent and handle, then yeah the door card has to come off for that. I tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't too painful :D

If you are crafty you can get away with releasing the trim poppers around the door card, undo the bolt behind the door handle, pop the electronics out and you can wiggle the door card enough to get behind to remove the vent panel

The button to open the little cubby hole can come out and be sprayed separately to avoid masking/messing it up.

5 screws on the back of the door means the front can lift away (not completely off) to allow a screwdrivers into the hole to release the mechanism with the button,

Once that's off the button just screws off.
