samu23
Hi All I have a recurring EML fault code of P1283, which seems to come on after about 30 minutes of driving after being reset. I have done a search and found a few threads on here and online of people having a similar issue but none of the threads have had solutions added. A little bit of background: - Recently fitted a pop charger - The car struggled to pass its MOT on emissions - the mechanic said the fuel trims were running at 100% at times. - The car seems to drive ok with no loss of power or limp mode From this site it looks to be one of the A/F sensors, is it a case of replacing it and see if the issue comes back? http://www.autocodes...283_nissan.html I'm new to all this so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Sam Edited April 10, 2016 by samu23
ZMANALEX
Sam, Refer to the data in the link in your post above, however replacing the front sensor on bank 2 is usually the fix but not always. Alex.
samu23
Thanks Alex. It's going in for a service on Tuesday so hopefully they can sort it. I have only been driving it gently since, would you say it's ok to drive until I get it sorted. Looks like it's running lean which could be dangerous? Do you have any sensors in stock? If so can you pm me a price?

fijifixit
@samu23 Sorry to revive an old post, did you ever manage to sort this issue out? I've had P1283 on for a while now. I got it checked out and was told Bank 2 fuel trims were quite high and that it was a vaccum leak somewhere.
