da.murf
Picked this up last week and am quickly seeing why they are so popular. Its a 2006 GT model with 44k on it. The service history was what drew me to it and that is was pretty unmessed with. Wheels have been referbed in gloss black with touch of flake in it. Thinking of going anthracite instead long term. Love the noise and handling of the car, big powerful lump, and for those who say they are slow, they must be used to big big power cars cause this feels every part of 300bhp lol. Will fire up a few more photos as I go. only real plans are popcharger intake front splitter space out wheels front and rear maybe an exhaust lol... comments welcome http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u352/deemurf/IMG_2212.jpg Edited March 10, 2023 by da.murf
da.murf
Also to confirm my reading so far lol... Being an 06 it will have a revup de engine and mine is face-lift due to bonnet buldge and small insert in front lip? Thanks
SHEZZA
Im guessing someone has changed the bonnet for the HR version, if it's an 06.

da.murf
Thanks for replies. Yes Def an 06 and was wondering myself about the bonnet lol. Def a nice subtle touch imo. Just sorted a pop charger tonight so will get that on as soon as it arrives. Just checking I would need a face-lift front lip Yeah? Thanks
GMballistic
Also to confirm my reading so far lol... Being an 06 it will have a revup de engine and mine is face-lift due to bonnet buldge and small insert in front lip? Thanks Simplest way to tell is this: Look at your RPM gauge ~ if the redline is at 6.5K rpm then it's a DE, if the redline is at 7K rpm then it is a RevUp DE, if the redline is at 7.5K rpm then it is a HR. The bonnet bulge as mentioned by SHEZZA is most likely a mod that a previous owner has done as they are found on the HR variant.

From looking at my picture can u tell if it's a pre or face-lift front bumper? Looking to sort a front lip but unsure as some list 06 as preface lift and other list 06 as face-lift?? da.murf
Small update Fitted a pop charger today. Picked it up off member on here as I've heard good reports of them and build quality is second to none. Before After. Please excuse mad colours lol camera phone on last legs. Manufacturers quote at 5-10hp gains which I very much doubt. I do feel the car has a smoother pull but that could all be in my head... or butt... maybe both I'm happy with noise and the heat shield that properly does shield filter from exhaust down pipes. fitting took 40 minutes and I'm more than pleased with my first mod lol on lookout for spacers now lol.... comments welcome Edited April 7, 2016 by da.murf

da.murf
so had the car just over a year now and loving it everyday. Keeping it serviced and getting it slowly looks wise where I want it to be. Mods so far are decats Miltek cat back system pop charger Eibach Springs Eibach 20mm front spacers 25mm Rear Mines Replica front splitter Stubby arial The exhaust is just what I was looking for, loud when under load and quiet restrained normal driving. The pop chargers adds giggles n kicks too lol The spacers really helped fill the arches out esp once the car was lowered. Visually I am aiming for side skirt extensions and rear spats too. Few photos below spacers fitted, before and after STUBBY! Lip fitting : Lip Fitted (LOVE IT!) Bath Time Few Snaps from different shows, drives etc As mentioned long term plans are skirts and spats, maybe light tints and Cf mirror covers & Pillar covers Comments and thoughts welcome

da.murf
Been a little while since I've updated this unfortunately nothing hugely news worthy. Car is continually maintained with Anachem gear, which I love. It had its big service a few thousand miles ago (just ticked over to 58k) at Bangor Tire Centre (all fluids, plugs, rear tires etc) and I'm currently using it as my daily, averaging 22mpg in urban daily driving obligatory pump shot I would love it to be professionally detailed come end of summer before it goes off the Road for winter, will see how funds allow. But paintwork for its age etc is pretty perfect, think front bumper had been painted prior to my ownership due to the lack of stone chips lol They can be pretty practical too, as I found out collection stuff for my daughters birthday party Yes that is a massive inflatable pinky pie Few shots from over last few months I actually took this one when I was thinking of selling up and going VAG (Audi S3) but found them a little too sensible for what I like in a car lol Toying with dewipering rear and also tinting rear glass and side windows... whats everyones thoughts?? Side profile to help: So update of spec: Lowered on Eibach springs 20mm 25mm spacers front and rear (Eibach) Wheels painted gloss black with small flake HR bonnet Milltek exhaust Japspeed decats millek Y pipe Popcharger Pioneer double din headhunt Tarmac sports side skirt extensions ZunSport front Grill Mines Style gloss black front lip Comments welcome
Stevie-Boy
I think what you've done with the lip, side steps and wheel colour are pretty much the ideal mods without going over the top, looks lovely.

Jack94
Very smart yet subtle Personally I'd give the rear windows a light tint and get some tinted reflectors for the front bumper to match the silver/black look
CGR
Looking really good. I think mine will end up looking quite similar to yours as I've got the front lip and side steps on order hahaha!
omegacloud
Car looks great. I agree that tinted or clear reflectors might perfect the look you have gone for.
