Hello

Recently I was in at a Zed specialist having my 350z differential bushes replaced (not really a trolley jack and axle stands kind of job) and a lad with his mrs had travelled a fair distance for a P1 service. Once my car was finished, his car was bought it – very nice too.

Good Friday gone, i carried out my own 11th year (with Nissan service tick sheet adhered to) P1 service and spark plugs change and it got me thinking how many of us service our cars ourselves or not and the reasons why?

I only take the car to a specialist when I can't do the job myself, although I'm pushing myself a wee bit more as time goes on as I enjoy it (and have access to a lift :)).

Also I like to think when I hand these jobs over to the guys, they always know it won't be a boring P1/2/3 or whatever.

I'm thoughtful like that ;)

I do oil + filter change myself every year as I've got access to a lift. When time comes, I will change spark plugs and belts myself too.

I've sent my zed into Nissan dealership for coolant and brake fluid change.
