Thursday - Decorator

Friday/Saturday - Electrician

Wednesday 6th - Carpet Fitter

What are you having done?

Well, I'm converting the dining room into a snug, all shiney chrome and black gloss with red leather Le Corbusier chairs

a couple of glass and chrome Eilleen Gray side tables and a big TV, all on a new black carpet

then ... the lounge gets done and I've succumbed to wifey's wishes for a flame effect fire in a hole in the wall with RGB LED backlighting on a cream carpet ... and all very down with the kids

Getting a price on the engine mounts for the Merc. Desperately trying not to buy a 928, despite the temptation. Trying also to avoid looking at 911's and 355's......if only to distract me from the 928's!

Go on Struan, just buy one. You only live once and all that ;)

Cool :) We're starting on a snug/cinema/games/gym room next.....apparently it's going to be difficult says OH. I try not to get involved beyond holding something extremely heavy above my head for hours on end while he selects the correct tool and hunts around on the floor for lost screws!

Could not post without a gratuitous mountain shot on the way down

Going skiing unfortunately adds another item to the list of jobs to be done :surrender:

But luckily I have been distracted by making some new speaker stands

Hope you all had a good weekend . . no Monday off for me

So, did everyone manage to do what they planned?

For me:

  • Buying and fitting a second hand front lip - Bought but not fitted
  • Seeing if it's possible for me (with my limited skills) to fit/adjust/paint some fibre glass side skirts - Didn't do
  • Tinker with some second hand aftermarket headlights I bought a while back - Didn't do
  • Possibly start refurbing some second hand rays I bought a while back. Well I say refurb but for now I'm just sanding off the clearcoat - Sanded for about 5 mins then got bored
  • Going out with a friend - DONE!

Where did my long weekend go?!

Fitted my bucket seats í ½í±í ¼í¿»

I like the look of those Bimarcos and a great price, are they comfortable? Whilst you have a leather seat out, please weigh one for everyones benefit, so many contrasting views on weight :)

If you're the larger gentleman yes they are brilliant. If you're a tall gentlemen then you'll need to mount them without sliding rails as they don't do back very far.

I wish you would have posted that 2 hours ago. I've literally just put them in a car for another forum member and sold them. Sorry buddy.

But yes, Bimarcos are very nice and having the FIA approvement gives me peace of mind that they're made in Poland. Lol

If you're anywhere near GSM in Nottingham go and try them out mate ðŸ‘ðŸ»
