mattross1313
Just a quick question. I'm booking the Z in for its service this week. To keep the stamps up to date I am booking in with Westover Nissan to keep the service book stamped (the other half works there), and I should be able to provide my own oil. The service print out they provided says Oil Change 0W40. But majority of online searches seems to hint at 5W30 being the best option. Just wondered what the general consensus was on this? I'll be getting fully synth regardless, but wanted to check for the best weight. Cheers
Richf
I use 0w40 in mine but you will get many opinions as to what is the "best" weight
mattross1313
Thanks Rich, I'm sure there is a lot of opinions on this but just wanted to be sure that either would be OK
Renegade
My 370 had its first service at Nissan last week. The print out receipt says. Completed 1st year service to Manufacturers Specification LSYNTH2 A5/B5 5W/30 Synthetic I think it used to be /40 for the 350.

mattross1313
Ordered up some Mobil 1 0W-40 New Life Fully Synthetic from Opie Oils. Not a bad price, plus a cheeky discount
Ekona
Weight? Dunno, about 5kg will do it The 'w' doesn't stand for weight, it stands for winter, not sure if you knew that or not. I'd also have gone for the 0w40 given the choice, so the right decision I reckon fella
