Pioneer Head unit won't play !

So I recently purchased a Pioneer head unit to go in my 350, my 350z comes with the Bose sound system extra and this is causin me problems. I have bought 2 different connectors now in hope that I could get the sound to come through but still no joy.

I have been down to the audio place locally and he said that the only way around it is to **** off the amp in the back and wire the radio directly to the speakers. Personally don't want to do this and would more than likely stick the old unit back into it.

Does anybody have any advice before I refit the old OEM Headunit ?

I really can't say why it's not working for you but all I can say is that I used to have a Pioneer double din DVD unit in my old Zed which was fitted locally by an audio specialist. It was wired up with the original Bose equipment which all still worked plus all my steering wheel controls still worked with the unit.

You may also might want to try a PM on here to a member called Buster (part of the Zed Shed crew) as I'm pretty sure he's done more than one or two ICE installs on the old Zeds so should be able to give you some help/pointers.

Hope that helps.

That said, if you just plug it together using the loom it will be very quiet... have you turned the volume up?

You also need to ensure the blue wires are spliced together so that the Bose amp gets told to switch on.

The guid in the ICE section on this forum is spot-on!
