How can this be 'stunning'... look at the rear of it! And the silver two tone roof...no. The one car I was looking forward to seeing was the DB9's replacement...and I'd still rather 'have' a DB9. I love ranting about styling... I know its subjective but I hate that arse.

Dan, I promise one day I'm going to count how many times you've used "utter" or "utterly" on this forum.

Probably as many times as you've spent the GDP of a small country on modding a car, only to sell it the next day :p :p :p

I actually didn't realise I said it that much. It's a good word to use though! :D

I could put up with the front...but its not pretty... Its like they've went too modern and just started slashing bits of bodywork at random bits. Gutted ...gutted the car I can't afford to buy a wheel off is not as good looking as I thought it would be

Its hard to follow up when the last thing you made was...

I want... in that kinda light grey and I want it now. Lotto this weekend I think lol

I wouldn't disown it. I'd quickly sell it for something that looked vaguely decent instead. £150K, more like £175K incl options, that's a lot of money for something that challenging.

Now, conversely I actually think if they translate that design to a smaller shell, like the next V8V, that could work much better. In the same way the DB9 was always prettier and suited the styling much better than the V8V, this could be the opposite way round.

At least they're doing something different now. The DB9, vantage, rapids and virage were all identical

And if you think this is bad it's not a patch on the dbx concept (worth a google)

I know, it seems like people either like the inside or the outside, but not both!

I think it's a bit colour-sensitive. Some I've seen are nice, some are actually awful. So I may change my opinion to the fact the whole car is crap.

But you know what? I think the DBX is actually a more composed design. It's still horrific, but it's better than the DB11.

Just when I started agreeing with most of your opinions

We won't agree on my next car though you've made your thoughts on that clear :ninja:

They've got the configurator thingymabob online now and it looks good.... but the car..still does not. I'd happily take one, then sell it, buy a barely used 2015 DB9 and enjoy the change...lol

  • 5 months later...

Thread revival time as I had the opportunity to jump in one as a passenger today.

Officially not out until next month but my friend works for Aston Martin and popped round with one today. I love the look of it, the aeroblade looks pretty smart in the flesh ( creates a virtual spoiler)

The engine is what you would expect and throws you back into the seat when playing with the loud pedal. The exhaust only really comes really into life in 'S' mode and what a lovely noise it is :)

Would post some pictures but my friend sadly wasn't to keen them going on a car forum just yet so have to respect his wishes.

The cockpit is a bit meh for a £165k car and I have not seen so much tan colour ever, way to garish for my liking. Thank

god it comes in other colour options!

Oooft this threads jumped forward lol. The more I've seen of it in reviews the more I quite like the front and front angles, most of the side.... but I still hate that arse. Especially if its got the black roof going down - too much going on. And those spindlay alloys... hopefully they make better options.
