Ukeraa
Hi all, Firstly, excuse the state of my Z. End of the week and it's my daily driver . These have been bugging me ever since I bought the car back in December, but I've been enjoying it too much to care. Now though they bug my quite a lot; I'm not slagging off the dealer, they were lovely and I'd happily buy from them again. So, what's the best way to remove these? I could probably have a go at peeling them off, they just look like stickers, but I don't want to do any damage. Bonus shot with my chicken legs . Happy Friday everyone! Joe. coldel
They should just peel off, other tricks are to rest a microfibre of hot water on it for a few minutes which will loosen the adhesive. But any stickers should just peel away, take your time and be patient.
GMballistic
Hello Joe. Best way imo ~ use a hairdryer to gently heat up the glue holding the stickers in place. Then careful start peeling from one end & keep heating at the same time whilst pulling the sticker away from the body/window at an angle. Once the sticker is completely off you could then use a "sticky stuff remover" like "Autoglyms Intensive Tar remover" to get rid of the glue residue. On the windows polish with glass polish afterwards and use polish/wax on the body afterwards.
Ukeraa
Thanks . Wow they were fast replies! Oh I should have specified, the sticker is actually on the light! Might be a bit fiddly to remove. Edited February 26, 2016 by Ukeraa
ZEUS
I always use a hairdryer too

jimmy.farrow7
Don't do what I done and rub you thumb over the warm residue to try and remove it as I got a very large blister on my thumb. The Bounty Bar Kid
Autoglym bar tar remover or methalyted spirits will get rid of the sticky stuff.
sipar69
Gently pick at the edge with your fingernail and then slowly peel them off. The hair dryer tip is a good one but I doubt you'll need to use it - they should come off easily - just take your time. Then clean off any remaining glue as suggested above
Ricey
In addition to the above I use a plastic razor blade when I'm de-stickering commercial vechilea Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Ekona
George Foreman plastic spatula. The old skinny style ones. They're utterly brilliant for this kind of thing.
DoogyRev
Fairy liquid and a scourer My truck had lots of dealer stickers on the back, used a plastic spatular and bug/tar remover to get rid of the residue.
-G-
+1 on the hairdryer. Do not under any circumstance use a heat gun or anything sharp to help lift the decal. Be patient with it and it'll come off with no issues.
