Barkerm87
Basically I've had the 350z two weeks and I've replaced the bushes and had my wheels tracked so finally wanted to push her a little. Went into first (was up to temp) and gave it some. It moved off the line slowly with lots of noise and the revs went round the clock. Wouldn't engage any gears until 5th at about 2k. Then drove. After that I haven't pushed it again and the car is driving fine. Any idea??? Is the slave expensive to fix/replace if that's it? Or gearbox? I have bought a new clutch and flywheel (car has done 77k) getting that fitted Thursday. Thanks in advance guys and before you shout, I didn't know what to search. GreenLandy
Initially sounds like extreme clutch slip (ie friction plate fubar'd). But then you say it drove fine afterwards? Oil on the plate, now burnt off perhaps?
-Bradders-
as above, could be the clutch slipping when hot, when i bought my zed we tested the clutch pulling away in 6th and it was fine, the clutch went completely on the way home when trying to overtake a lorry! LloydZee
+1 for the clutch slip. Would make sense if it's every time you give it some. Normal driving wouldn't put as much strain on it for it to slip?

HaydnH
Are you sure the wheels weren't spinning?
Randy_Baton
You might as well do the slave whilst your at it, they are about £90. I think Clark Motorsport (trader on here) do a slave set, the set come with an uprated hose + fluid.
