Kieran_ctr
So was on my way to a local meet & set off out my street & going 10mph & realised my power steering went off & my battery light came on, so got out popped the bonnet & noticed which I'm sure it's the auxiliary belt has snapped, does anyone know of its a bumper off job or is it possible to get it on without the bumper coming off? SHEZZA
No need to take bumper off. Just jack car up and get on axle stands, remove under tray so you can get at the pulley and tension bolts. There's a how to guide knocking about somewhere. I'd change both belts while your at it presuming yours is a DE.
MITZ@CougarStore
You won't need to remove the bumper...

GT4 Zed
Get good quality gates or continental belts and replace the AC belt too while you are there. That belt must have been there for a long time, set too tight or a cheap belt in the first place..

evilscorp
If you have hobbit hands you might even be able to do it from the top of the engine down... if you know where you are looking... and don't mind a few cut fingers.
SHEZZA
Thanks shezza Would you say these are any good? Yes the gates micro v belts are what I fitted and very well recommended on here.

Hahaha! Brings memories. I got lazy once years ago and did this and still have scars to show for it. My hand got stuck trying to undo the tensioner and it was a battle to get it out!
