[SOLD]18 Forged Super Lightweight JDM Wheels.

I have for sale a set of JDM wheels for the 350Z. They are 18" Southern Way S-05's. They are JDM, never for sale outside of Japan. The fronts are 18 x 8.5 + Offset and the Rears are 18 x 9.5 + Offset. The wheels are brand new and have never been fitted.

They are incredibly lightweight and forged so very strong. The fronts weight in at 7.1KG and the rears are 7.4KG so slightly lighter than a set from Rays/Volk in the same size. They are super high quality wheels and cost 2 – 3K new.

I bought these wheels for my own 350z around 7 years ago for track use but never got a chance to use them before selling my car. I decided to keep them just in case I got another 350/370Z at some point but that is now looking unlikely so I have decided to put them up forsale.

They have the dual valve system for those die hard track guys that use nitrogen. They were developed as a motorsport wheel but look great and can be used on the street without any issue.

The manufacturer of the wheels was Japanese company Taneisya/Ijak. They were a leading Japanese manufacturer that has produced Formula1 racing and Top Level motorsports wheels for a long time but unfortunately they went out of business and they are no longer in production. Their philosophy is based around having a "REAL" experience with only the best possible products. There manufacturing process utilised 8000ton forging technology and the finest aluminium alloy to achieve some of the lightest wheels available. The wheels were used by many teams in the Super Taikyu "Production car Endurance" racing in Japan as well as the many teams in the one make cup races in Japan.

I am looking for £950.00 for the set and in that price I will deliver them as far South as Manchester or as Far North as Edinburgh. For those travelling from further afield I would be happy to meet at either of those destinations to hand over the wheels. I would be happy to wrap the wheels up in bubble wrap in the existing box’s if the buyer would like to arrange collection by a courier but that would be at your own risk and would not be something I would recommend.

The wheels are supplied with valves and stickers.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Kevin

Please note I have had one of the wheels refurbed as the something pierced the box while in storage and scratched the face of the wheel. The colour match and finish is pretty much identical to the other wheels the only difference is I had to take the stickers of the inside of the wheel.

I suspect quick Alex has nabbed these and will be going for R888 or similar. 245/40/18 and 275/40/18 will be perfect. These wheels are strong and light and though will need small spacers for the perfect stance my only concern will be the lack of spare should you bend one.

Square tyre setup is better on the z, reduces the horrible understeer.

Run 255 all round atm, but want to go wider, maybe 285 all round.

Agreed but why not dial that out otherwise with suspension setup. I always see my tyres as fine tuning part of the suspension.

Without some serious roll centre work i dont see the front getting much better :/

Even with my custom lower arms on so the arb works better and i can add camber, ill still have more grip at the rear and I havebt added a diff yet (tbough my stock one is tight).

Square tyre setup transformed the car for me but lots still to do lol
