PMX
My missus has just leased one of these. Got to be honest it is an unbelievable car (not as good as a Zed obviously) But for a 4 cylinder turbo car, the power delivery, is amazing. Just wanted to share that with you really!! I get to drive it quite a lot as she is always fec*ing nicking mine!!
Rock_Steady
Do they have the same engine as the Golf R? or is the Golf R still using that heavy V6?
Zeezeebaba
Yaaaaaawwwwwwn. I'm sure it's very nice, my pick of the current VAG dross would be a Cupra 280. Edited February 16, 2016 by Zeezeebaba
370Ad
Do they have the same engine as the Golf R? or is the Golf R still using that heavy V6? Golf R has 300bhp and Scirocco is 280bhp, same unit just state of tune.
coldel
Used to have a 1.4 (turbo and supercharged!) Scirocco - liked the car, distinctive, nimble etc. Golf though is 4WD though vs FWD of the 'rocco which swings it for me to prefering the Golf. Flex
They're ok, I've got a 2009 2ltr petrol, nippy and probably would give the zed a good run for it's money but the handling is a bit meh tbh, not sure if the R has a better set up? Richf
My daily driver is a Skoda Octavia VRS with the same engine , really love the power delivery of the EA888 and they sound pretty decent for a four pot
scobie140
Was torn between this and the golf r but opted for the golf due to the 4 wheel drive and extra doors. I do like the styling of the scirocco better though. Cracking motor

It's got a 'Sports' option which seems to tighten it all up. Handling seems pretty good to me

Cracking motor If it had been my choice I also would have opted for the Golf R but my missus just loves Scirocco's (this is her 3rd) I do like the styling tbh & for a 4 pot, it sounds pretty good too, although not as good as my 370, obviously
scobie140
Can't blame her I've always liked them myself. We're always going to be biased though lol
Stutopia
Nice cars they'd be on my "next" list if FR or AWD. If I was going FF I love the Fiesta ST.
Zeezeebaba
I'm a fan of the front end but not the rear, it sort of reminds me of a Scimitar. Fiesta STs in current form are superb little cars, I had one for a day and it made me smile from ear to ear.
coldel
I remember mine had the different damper and throttle response settings which were quite cool - so you could switch between sport, normal and economy.
