Dave6188
Not massively into modifying my car so put more money into maintenance and getting the most out of the standard car. Used to own a new MX5 before my HR Z, it had a lovely transmission so wanted the best out of the transmission on my Z. Going into 1st gear was very stiff and Knotchey so I decided to replace the grarbox oil with Redline MT85 (3litres) and whilst I was at it replaced LSD oil with Fuchs Titan Race Gear 90 (2litres). First few miles didn't really feel a difference but after a while changing up/down the box the shift is now extremely smooth and the stiff/Knotchey 1st gear has completely been gone !!! What a difference, makes driving it even more of a pleasure.
RobPhoboS
If you are brave enough to start reducing the slack out of the drive line (poly/solid bushings), all of the nastiness begins to vanish. Sadly at the cost of vibration etc (but I dont mind)
Dave6188
Probably wouldn't go as far as that tbh, just had 4 wheel laser alignment back to Nissan settings but slightly tweaked afterwards for a bit more grip and may possibly buy some K&N panel filters for slightly better air flow. GranTurismoEra
I changed mine in all 3 of my previous cars, all I can say is wow, what a difference it makes, best gearbox so far was in the civic, as good as the GTI MK 4, in every way, just great. they say 30,000 miles, but more frequently only helps to preserve moving parts,
