OllyB
I'm pretty sure it's normal, after spirited driving or a long journey the carpet on the transmission tunnel is toasty. Edited February 7, 2016 by OllyB

MrLizard
i have no sound deadening in mine - after thrashing it for an hour we used a laser temp on it and it was hitting 60+ deg c , just remember to do some less spirited driving at the end to get some air flow through and keep the oil moving. RobPhoboS
I'm in the 350z but I removed the cat heatshields and it would heat the cabin up nicely during winter However the other day I decided to stick some heatshield material to the car. I need to inspect it again but I'll ensure it's stuck to the car with some RTV gasket sealant (high temp). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-Fairing-Panel-Exhaust-Engine-HEAT-SHIELD-Self-Adhesive-Sheet-New-/140889796676?hash=item20cdafb044:g:ZbYAAOxyLN9Sngex
