nixy
Just had this fitted and not had time to 'play' with it properly yet. However, when I disconnect my ipod from the unit my ipod still says kenwood on the screen but will not switch off or go back to the menu. I had to do the reset process to unfreeze it. Any idea why? nixy
oh god can't remember which one - think its CDA 8885R or something like that!
H5
Could be the switch wire has been wired to permanent live, or the iPod lead hasn't fully released to tell the unit to go back in the menu.
Chris`I
Does the HU have a button to disconnect/"Eject" the ipod? I know on the PC if you just rip if off when its doing something it can cause it to hang like this, but I've never seen it happen on a HU and I had my ipod on my currect HU in my old car for about a year with no troubles. Does it work fine when its conencted?
nixy
its seems fine now. Think i must have disconnected the lead while the unit was still switched on. If I do it after i've turned it off it's fine now. By the way, it's ace! No more wogan!

If you disconnect it while the HU is accessing the ipod, chances are it will crash, its an Apple after all Glad it works now
