LDUNKZ18 Posted January 31, 2016 Share Posted January 31, 2016 So I just bought my z yesterday, it has a full decat hks true dual system. The tail pipes are adjustable. I love the note I get off it but when high up the revs it is far too loud and kills my ears.. my hearing is bad enough so this will only make me more deaf. I still want to have an exhaust with a nice grunt off it but the hks is just too raspy when giving it death. would fitting some sports cats or original cats quiet it down enough? any suggestions on good performance exhausts that don't kill your hearing would be much appreciated Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jetpilot Posted January 31, 2016 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Nismo will most likely be your quietest option, but dont discount Fujitsubo as they made the Nismo exhaust, its basically the same. I have no rasp with Berks, maybe its all down to the exhaust you pair it with. I am running a HKS true dual (not the syle with the resonators) and hfcs and passed the noise test at Thruxton, 90db, which is the strictest around.
