syy
This is a warning for anyone else out there that might think of buying a Z from here, do not use  Oakwood Motor Group, Chesterfield Road, Mansfield. They took a £250 deposit of my mate a couple of weeks ago, then the car failed it's mot before we collected it, they fed us nothing but lies about what was wrong and when it would be fixed. To top that off on the gov. Mot site we discovered that it had been clocked some years ago, and 20'000 miles had disappeared. He asked for his deposit back (obviously!) They are to this day point blank refusing to pay it back, and have even been swearing and aggressive down the phone when he said he would try and recover it from the credit card company.  Absolutely disgraceful service in every way. You have been warned! Share  Share

Jakeswheelbarrow
Trying to save someone else from buying a car with a clocked mileage and mis-firing engine isn't quite how I'd define being 'dangerous or libellous' The fact that the garage withheld that information, mis represented it whilst selling it and refused to return the deposit once rumbled speaks for itself really.
syy
It is not libellous, because it is nothing but the truth.

Ekona
Well then, if he's not already contacted the courts he's an idiot.
Jakeswheelbarrow
Don't need to go through the courts. Benefit of paying a deposit with a credit card. The bank does it all for you
Ekona
Doesn't sound like he's done either though.
Jakeswheelbarrow
He's sorted it. Main concern is trying to prevent someone else getting misled by the garage
Will370z
I sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them. We don't need two separate threads on this though http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/105220-warning-oakwood-motor-group-mansfield/ So I'll lock this one and discussion can continue in the other one with more info
