-Bradders-
Well.. after a long old fecking time, its starting lol... Tbf, only took about 2 hours to get to this stage so i could have done it a long time ago! but hey it's started, i'll let the pics do the talking. and also watch this space for updates! It's only an oem build but with a few added goodies like a port and polish, lightened and balance crank (being sent off to match with the new lightened pullies and the flywheel) Got plenum spacer to add, more pullies (lightened) new manifolds, new Dcats, new Y pipe, and a full OEM rebuild from the ground up. Might need some new arch liners lol Cables a little freyd! Snug fit! Then all back in the garage together now ready to be stripped down this week! Thats all for now! Keep watching lol i'll add more as we go! Edited May 6, 2016 by -Bradders-

Davectr
Well done you. What do you mean it's "only" an OEM build 😱, it's much more ambitious than most of us would attempt 👠

-Bradders-
So this is your original engine, right? You didn't buy that revup? Yeah it seemed like too much hassle with the other so this is being completely stripped and checked over and rebuilt!
-Bradders-
Well done you. What do you mean it's "only" an OEM build í ½í¸±, it's much more ambitious than most of us would attempt í ½í± As in no fancy forged parts are going in lol, just replace worn parts, new rings, new valves and seals gaskets etc.. -Bradders-
So i popped round the garage to have a check up, here's how it stood by the time i got there: Plenum was already off Can see leaky gaskets! The builder getting hands on he dont mess about!: It soon started to look a bit naked lol: Not sure if you can see in the oil pickup, but there was lots of bits of cardboard gasket in the sump! you can see one lump in the pickup: Sump off next just crank pulley off and heads off! On a quick inspection the valves where very clean, too clean, over fuelling, 2 where very wet, burning oil and the exhaust valves as you can imaging where caked thick in black burnt oil. Watch this space!

monkeybrain1234
Sounds like a good project Bradders. Think you will have fun and learn a lot too stripping it all out. I know I would. Your comment about over fuelling - that was for sure, when I was behind you in Wales, fan was in re-circulation mode, otherwise I would have passed out from fumes!!!
