350Z Roadster Roof - small tear and inside of roof wet.

Hi all, I have two issues with my roof. First one is a small tear (about an inch long) st the bottom of the roof fabric, right behind the driver's window that seems now to be developing upwards with light, barely visible cracking in the material. Second issue that I first noticed yesterday in torrential rain is that the roof is wet on the inside at certain places (it's hardly dripping down into the car but very slightly) and drips of water on the inside of the passenger door handle. I wondered what experiences anyone has had with the roofs on these and if they have any advice for any of these issues. Thank you!

Thanks everyone. I was hoping not to have to replace the roof - not had the car a year yet - so just looking at other options. Has anyone had any luck with waterproofing treatments for the roof generally (Autoglym has been mentioned a few times) and repairs for tears?

Yeah, ours went in the same place. Caroline bought some interior patches and some roof sealant off EBay, She then ahem, stitched the roof back together  . Surprisingly it worked really well, roof goes up and down O.K without the sealant or patches coming off and doesn't leak anymore. Clearly it'll need a new roof before we sell it though :) .

As a temporary fix before the roof is replaced you can use stormsure, great product they use on wetsuits so it's flexible. Used it on a few patches on my 350z roof

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we used stormsure

Another + 1 for stormsure
