matt89
Finally got around to taking my zed to the local garage, get it up on the ramps and take a good look at the full condition of the car. All seemed in good order, front half of exhaust could do with replacing though. Until I looked at the back of the front discs... Time for some new pads and discs for the front, annoying as the front pads where only changed less than a year ago and the previous owner didn't change the discs??? So my question is, can I buy some OEM discs and some slightly uprated pads for everyday use and the occasional track use for the front and keep the OEM discs and pads for the back? or am I just asking for trouble? Thanks.
Jetpilot
No problems, but for the cost of some rear pads i would do the lot imho.
Bodyboarder81
I think most traders on here would sort you out with a good price for a full set of uprated discs/pads front and rear . Worth doing if you are going to keep the car long term .
Jetpilot
I bought a full set of mtec j hooks, just over £300 for the discs which is pretty impressive

matt89
Eurocarparts doing very good deals currently on brembo kit Are the OEM discs and pads Brembo as well? Or is it just the calliper? Also, which pads, I think these as they match the shape of the calliper http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Nissan_350Z_3.5_2008/p/car-parts/brakes/brake-friction/brake-pad/?10170047A&1&f2ca931ca910da00f4c7ab682d107b4ffd0087c1&000036 But these also showed up when I put in my reg? http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Nissan_350Z_3.5_2008/p/car-parts/brakes/brake-friction/brake-pad/?10170036A&1&5407d9d227d7b05fa5e3c60f3da4f69e79dcb084&000036

Also the pad face is split in two. I'm not saying to get those and the discs from the main dealer as they are a ridiculous price. The option that has been given above is a good call. http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/400244956916 Edited December 31, 2015 by SHEZZA
Ewen@Clark Motorsport
For OEM we can supply Pagid discs which come coated to resist rusting, we can supply these with aftermarket Brembo pads which as Shezza correctly says are not the same compound as the OEM Nissan but fine for normal road use. If looking for something better you could go for the Hawk PC pads which are a great fast road/light track pad. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/79142-pagid-brembo-discs-for-350z-230-for-front-and-rear-delivered/ If you are looking to upgarde the discs then the DBA T2 are a popular option and can supplied with the Hawks or Ferodo DS2500s depending on how much you will use the car on track. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/104188-dba-t2-discs-with-hawk-pads-new-combo-price-deal/
